Hispanic marketing means reaching Spanish-speaking and bilingual customers the way they actually search, read and decide. It goes beyond translation: we adapt your message to Spanish, build Spanish pages that search engines can find, run Spanish-language ads and make sure your phone line, forms and follow-up work in Spanish too. MAD Lion Digital is a physician-led marketing agency based in Las Vegas, with an office in Guatemala, and we do this work in English and Spanish for medical practices and for businesses across the United States.
The audience, in numbers
The Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 population estimates count 70.1 million Hispanic residents in the United States as of July 1, 2025, about 21% of the population. According to 2024 American Community Survey data compiled by USAFacts, about 44.9 million people age 5 and older speak Spanish at home, roughly 1 in 7, and 58.9% of them say they speak English “very well.”
Nevada is one of 16 states with at least one million Hispanic residents. About 31% of Nevadans are Hispanic or Latino, according to the Census Bureau’s 2025 estimates in QuickFacts, and 20.9% of those age 5 and older speak Spanish at home, according to the same 2024 survey data. Plan for a bilingual market: some people prefer Spanish, many move between both languages and some prefer English.
What’s included
- Transcreation instead of literal translation. Headlines, offers and calls to action adapted so they read as if written in Spanish from the start, with a glossary that keeps your terms consistent.
- Spanish SEO. Spanish keyword research for your area, Spanish pages with their own URLs and correct hreflang annotations, and reports on your Spanish search traffic.
- Google Business Profile in Spanish. A description that mentions your Spanish-language service, posts in both languages, and replies in Spanish to reviews written in Spanish.
- Bilingual websites and forms. Full Spanish versions of your key pages, a visible language switch, and forms with the same fields in the same order in both languages.
- Spanish-language ads. Search and social campaigns written in Spanish that send people to Spanish landing pages, with a separate budget.
- Cultural fit. Images, examples, tone and offers reviewed for the communities you actually serve, because Hispanic customers come from many countries and generations.
- Bilingual phone and messaging scripts. Scripts for a Spanish option early in your phone menu and for voicemail in both languages, plus Spanish text and email templates with opt-out instructions in Spanish, such as replying “BAJA.”
- Measurement. Separate tracking for Spanish pages, ads, calls and forms, so you see what the Spanish side brings in.
Who it’s for
Medical practices, clinics, hospitals and med spas that see Spanish-speaking patients, and any US business that wants more Hispanic customers: home services and cleaning, restaurants, retail, construction and trades, tax and financial services. You don’t need bilingual staff to begin; a single Spanish landing page is a reasonable start.
How we work
- Diagnosis. We check how your business looks to someone searching in Spanish: search results, your Business Profile, website and reviews, and what happens when they call or fill out a form.
- Plan. Together we decide which pages, campaigns and channels come first, with measurable goals such as calls or form submissions from Spanish pages and ads.
- Execution. We write, build and launch Spanish pages, profile updates, ads, and phone and message scripts.
- Monthly follow-up. We report Spanish results separately, review the words people actually search with, and adjust copy and budget.
Healthcare: language access under Section 1557
Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act applies to health programs that receive federal financial assistance from HHS; HHS gives hospitals that accept Medicare and doctors paid through Medicaid as examples. Under the 2024 rule:
- Since July 5, 2025, covered entities must give notice that free language assistance is available, in English and in at least the 15 languages most commonly spoken by people with limited English proficiency in their state, including in a conspicuous place on their website.
- Interpretation must come from a qualified interpreter. HHS says that identifying oneself as bilingual is not enough.
- Machine translations of critical documents must be reviewed by a qualified human translator.
As of October 2026, a federal court has vacated the parts of the 2024 rule related to gender identity, and a June 2026 HHS notice states that the rule’s other provisions remain in force. Spanish landing pages also need care with tracking tools; see our article on HIPAA and tracking pixels. This is general information, not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Can we use machine translation for our Spanish pages?
As a first draft, yes, but have someone who writes Spanish well revise it before publishing. In healthcare, Section 1557 requires a qualified human translator to review machine translations of critical documents.
Should our Spanish pages have their own URLs?
Yes. Google recommends a separate URL for each language version rather than cookies or browser settings, plus hreflang annotations. Each version must list itself and the others, and the pages must point to each other, or Google ignores them.
Can we add “Hablamos español” to our Google Business Profile name?
No. Google’s guidelines don’t allow extra information in the business name or repeating the name in a second language. Mention your Spanish-language service in your description, posts and photos instead.
Can we still target Spanish speakers in Google Ads?
Yes, but the mechanics changed. Google says that, starting in September 2026, the campaign-level language setting is being removed from Search campaigns, and Search ads will match based on the language of the ad and on signals about the languages a person understands. That makes clear Spanish ad copy and Spanish landing pages more important.
